Ladies and gentlemen, it is Wednesday night, always the best night of the week if you ask me, purely because it means another edition of the modern day wrestling wars! AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT are once again set to grace us with their presence, and I could not be more excited! After all, tonight… I’m going to be there at AEW Dynamite live! Yes, they’ll be emanating from Southaven, Mississippi, which is like a half hour drive from my house, I would’ve been crazy to pass that up! It’s a special show too, billed as the AEW Anniversary, as it’s a year out from the inaugural Double Or Nothing rally, which was technically the first AEW-sponsored event of any kind!
My watching from the stands means that I’m unable to do the usual recap but I’ll still be giving you the previews as usual, and the results later tonight!
Will Cody accept MJF’s stipulations for a match at AEW Revolution?
…Yes. Yes, he will. I mean let’s not beat around the bush there, of course he’ll say yes! But it’s gonna be great hearing his response all the same.
Cody wants a match with MJF more than anything in the world right now and he’s willing to offer whatever he wants to get it. So MJF decided to lay out some stipulations. In the lead-up to this I predicted some things Cody could be forced to put on the line but I like how this came about a lot better. Rather than just give a stip for the match itself, MJF’s basically laid a gauntlet before Cody, a steeply challenging path to their bout at AEW Revolution.
The first stip is that he has to agree not to touch him a single time until their match comes. That’ll be a particularly rough one whenever MJF goes for the second stip, giving him 10 lashes with a belt live on AEW Dynamite! And the biggest test of them all, he must win a cage match with MJF’s personal bodyguard, Wardlow! It’s safe to say the EVP has a long journey ahead of him for these next 53 days.
