The rough Google translation of the tweet follows.
Breaking news. Ticket sales for the New Japan Pro-Wrestling Tokyo Dome Tournament on January 4, 2020 are expected to be significantly higher than on January 4, 2019. If you have not purchased, please hurry. Various seats are running low. Thank you.
The single event for Wrestle Kingdom 13 sold 38,162 tickets, and previous reports suggest both Wrestle Kingdom 14 days are on pace to surpass that number remarkably.
Kidani pointing towards January 4th ticket sales means the event may reach a Super No Vacancy Full House (all available tickets sold) before the event itself.
The January 5th event isn’t far behind in ticket sales but isn’t likely to sell out ahead of time. With 20 events in January, NJPW could move anywhere between 103,000 to 110,000 tickets in the first month of the year. Only World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) are expected to reach 100,000 ticket sales for the entire year outside of NJPW.
Wrestle Kingdom 14 will see the final two matches of Jyushin Thunder Liger’s career as he has a match on both nights, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho will face Hiroshi Tanahashi in a non-title match, and Hiromu Takahashi makes his singles return as he challenges Will Ospreay for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.
The event will also see the first-ever dual IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental Champion as Tetsuya Naito, G1 Climax winner Kota Ibushi, IWGP Intercontinental Champion Jay White, and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada compete in the Double Gold Dash tournament over the two days.
The events will take place live on NJPWWorld and Fite TV.
