It’s safe to say that Jon Moxley had one hell of a week. First he showed up in Jacksonville at AEW Dynamite’s special Homecoming episode to face Trent in a one-on-one match. Then he took the flight to Tokyo for what turned out to be a wild weekend for him. He took on Lance Archer in a brutal Texas Deathmatch to regain the IWGP United States Championship. And then, the very next night, he defended the title against Juice Robinson.
The feud dates back to Jon Moxley’s debut. Mox took the title from Juice initially, and in retaliation, Juice spoiled his G1 run. They were meant to have a rubber match months ago, but due to Typhoon Hagibis, Moxley could not make the match and thus was stripped of the title. But long winding road or not, we got to it on Night 2 of Wrestle Kingdom 14 were Mox ultimately prevailed.
And yet his long night still wasn’t over quite yet…

Mox yells at Juice as they both slowly rise. Forearm exchange! Headbutt from Juice, Mox gives him one back, series of elbows! Wicked slap to the face! Juice responds in kind! Elbow takes Juice to his knee, running knee to the face! Juice ducks some shots and gets a few big ones in! Knockout blow and Mox is down! Pulls him up, Pulp Friction, Mox escapes, kick to the gut for the Double Arm DDT! Keeps him hooked, hoists him – Paradigm Shift!
