The wrestling industry has been shaken to it’s core. Coronavirus has been cancelling major shows left and right, and has forced companies like AEW & WWE to run their scheduled weekly shows without a crowd of fans. Despite this, wrestlers aren’t stopping. The industry is finding ways to keep going, and the latest comes in news site and Youtube channel WrestleTalk. They are working alongside Will Ospreay & Bea Priestley to produce a show with some of the top talent in the UK to give fans something else to watch to distract from the situation surrounding us.
Support Wrestling, Screw Coronavirus
The official announcement of this show outlines when to watch it and who to expect.
“In conjunction with Will Ospreay, WrestleTalk will be hosting WrestleTalk Showcase: No Fans Monday, this Monday, March 16th, at 7pm GMT (3pm EST, 12pm PST)! You can see it all for free on YouTube, with all proceeds donated during the stream going directly towards the wrestlers and crew that will work this show for free. And you’ll get to see such top stars as David Starr, The OJMO, Callum Newman, Nathan Cruz, Rampage Brown, and for the first time ever, Will Ospreay vs Bea Priestley. How nuts is that?
Support wrestling, screw coronavirus!”
With a huge intergender main event between stars of NJPW & AEW, and some of the top indy talents around, it could make for a fantastic watch this coming Monday. Indy shows often look lesser to WWE due to the lack of huge crowds, but everyone is on the same level now.
Fans Are Happy To Still See Will Ospreay In Action
The New Japan Cup seemed groomed for Will Ospreay to earn his first shot at the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, held by Tetsuya Naito. He recently moved up to the Heavyweight Division, and is one of the most popular stars in the company today. While we won’t get to see him face Shingo Takagi in another instant classic, he should ensure Bea Priestley has the best match of her career. Other matches are unclear, but with announced talent we should be able to see some more fantastic matches.
If you’re wanting to stay entertained as the world goes crazy, this is a good way to do so. It will air on the WrestleTalk YouTube channel Monday, March 16th at 3PM EST. Will you be watching?
