WWE SmackDown continues. The SmackDown women’s division are being catty as they stand outside an empty ring in a pre-taped segment. They all start arguing over who will go after Bayley and Sasha Banks. Dana says they’ve disrespected all of them and they need to show them that they’re not just filler. Alexa speaks up and asks where Nikki Cross went and no-one’s sure. Sheamus is interviewed by Kayla Braxton who is evidently three feet shorter than him. Sheamus says Jeff calling him a bully really made him think. He is a bully! And people like Jeff Hardy deserve to be bullied! He’s pathetic and weak, he’s glad he kicked his head off. His only regret is that he didn’t crush his throat too ’cause otherwise we wouldn’t have heard the garbage that came out of his mouth. Says Jeff claims to be resilient and strong and has turned his life around but you don’t have to be Sigmund Freud to know he doesn’t really believe it. Sheamus says next week he’s gonna pop a bottle, a toast to the one and only Jeff Hardy.
Bayley and Sasha Banks, still at the commentator’s table for reasons, celebrate this and start to make their way out when Nikki Cross attacks them from behind all by her lonesome! As she takes it to them both, Alexa Bliss rushes out to stop her, she rolls her into the ring. Nikki demands Sasha comes into the ring for a fight right here, right now! Bayley says if she wants Sasha she’s got it, she accepts! Yep doing this once again. Banks just stares at her. Commercial break starts, I’m sure we’ll be in a match in progress when we come back.
Sasha Banks vs. Nikki Cross
As we come from break, indeed we see Nikki beating up Sasha Banks. She gets low bridged to the floor but wins out on the brawl out there, takes her into the ring and hits a Crossbody for a 2 count. Sasha takes over, couple of roll ups for 2. Chokes her in the corner. Snapmare into a chinlock. Nikki fights her way up and takes her down with a few double handed chops. Goes up top, Sasha tries to cut her off but Nikki grabs her hair and smashes her headfirst into the turnbuckle a few times. Tornado DDT for a nearfall. Hangs her up on the top rope for the Hangman’s Neckbreaker but Sasha breaks it, goes to the apron and hits a knee to the face, slips into the ring for the Bank Statement and Nikki with a crucifix, couple of cradles for 2. Wants a sunset flip but Sasha rolls through for a Meteora and that just barely gets the three.
Winner: Sasha Banks
Sorta felt like we were filling time there, a bit odd to have her go out of her way for that fight just to beaten clean. Does establish a secondary finisher for Sasha though.
