Bullet Club is back on top of New Japan Pro Wrestling, after EVIL would cross his old allies. He is the second double champion in NJPW after knocking off Tetsuya Naito at Dominion with the help of Bullet Club and Dick Togo. However, he’s not the leader of Bullet Club. That is Jay White.
White was the man who started the Double Gold Dash in the first place, but he would lose the Intercontential Championship to Tetsuya Naito on the first night of Wrestle Kingdom. He’d come back with a win over Kota Ibushi the next night, and let KENTA take his shot at Naito first. Now, he’s on his way back to the company.
Jay White Teases Being Somewhere On July 25th
In a post to his Instagram story, Jay White would post a picture of the sky from above with a clock emoji and 7.25 next to it. That is the date of the next NJPW PPV, Sengoku Lord. On that night, EVIL has his first big defense of the IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontential Championships against IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Hiromu Takahashi.
Being the leader of Bullet Club, White will likely have some role in that match. Travel is opening to Japan again, and New Zealand is on the list of safe countries. If he arrives soon, quaretines for a while, he’ll be good to go for this event, good to take control of Bullet Club again.
Will EVIL Lay Down For Jay White?
Lots has changed in Bullet Club over the past few weeks. EVIL & Gedo are now the best of friends, and control is shifting. While having someone from their ranks at the top of the card is nice, you can’t help but feel White will want those titles for himself.
He couldn’t claim them at Wrestle Kingdom, but now one of his own men hold the gold. We could see White look for a shot at this titles, where he will demand EVIL lays down for him. This would be an insult to the championship and everything it stands for, and would simply make Bullet Club even more hatable at the end of the day.
