Of course, WWE Raw Preview loves tag team action, so we’re going to focus on that as a couple of good ones are scheduled for tonight.
The first up is the New Day vs. The Hurt Business, and we’re pretty sure this is going to be a clustermess at some point.
This match as all the makings of the best one of the night, but we’re not sure it’ll deliver simply because it feels more like a run in or disqualification type.
There’s no denying that the New Day made a statement by defeating Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode last week, but the Hurt Business have their eyes set on tag team gold and that’s going to be rough.
On paper, it’s easy to say the Hurt Business will win simply because we highly doubt MVP and Lashley won’t be at ringside, and the numbers game always catches up with people eventually.
On the plus side, this is a non-title match, so the New Day can lose without any concerns about their title and it’d set up a future match against Alexander and Benjamin.
This is going to play into the fact they no longer have Big E with them, and not having his power will give them some serious growing pains.
Of course, they could find another ally during or after this match. Maybe even a “secret blockbuster trade” for Big E to come to Raw.
It wouldn’t be the first time the WWE walked back one of their ideas.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke
Like the New Day and Hurt Business match, this is a non-title affair as it’s Brooke and Rose trying to earn their title shot.
They’ve been undefeated since joining as a team, and we expect Brooke and Rose to walk away with a victory in some way.
While it’s hard to imagine anyone defeating Jax of Baszler at the moment, they have to build for a championship match in the near future.
And since they’re teaming together with Lana at Survivor Series, this will be a great way for them to continue building up tensions between the four of them.
On that note, if Baszler and Jax lose, we expect Lana to have a hand in it somehow.
Who could blame her? The woman’s been Samoan Dropped through the announce desk six times now.
Though the last time Rose and Brooke stood by and let it happen, so we’re thinking any interference may be accidental.
Either way, WWE Raw Preview expects Lana be go through the table a seventh time because someone’s got to pay for Rusev going to AEW.
Who do you think will win tonight, the champions or would-be challengers?
