On November 24th New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) presented World Tag League 2020 (WTL 2020) from the Big Palette Fukushima in Fukushima, Japan in front of 469 fans. COVID-19 (Coronavirus, 2019) was responsible for the reduced crowd size, spreading the fans throughout, but the audience remained lively during key moments.

The second series match of the event saw the Bullet Club team of Evil/Yujiro, who were accompanied by Evil’s manager “The Spoiler” Dick Togo take on HenarAce (Hiroshi Tanahashi/Toa Henare). Evil/Yujiro came into the match with a victory over CHAOS members and former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions “Stone Pitbull” Tomohiro Ishii and Toru Yano, while HenarAce fell to the CHAOS team of two-thirds of the reigning NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions (w/Ishii) Hirooki Goto and Yoshi-Hashi.

Evil/Yujiro were off to a surprising (3-1) [6 points] start to the tournament, while HenarAce were winless in their first 4 campaign matches. Despite being heavy underdogs, HenarAce brought the fight to the Bullet Club team, surviving interference from Dick Togo while dealing with Evil and Yujiro.

Henare who had taken the fall in each of HenarAce’s defeats wrestled with courage as he attempted to gain a positive result. He would achieve his goal at the 13 minutes and 3 seconds mark after hitting his Toa Bottom Uranage technique on Yujiro.

The victory moved HenarAce to (1-4) [2 points] while Evil/Yujiro dropped to (3-2) [6 points]. Tanahashi and Henare moved on to face the Bullet Club tandem of “Rogue General” Bad Luck Fale/”Crown Jewel” Chase Owens on November 28th, while Evil/Yujiro faced reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) on the same night.

HenarAce hopes to maintain their momentum going forward, while the loss means the Bullet Club team will have to fight for a place in the WTL 2020 Finals.
