New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) continues its Road to Detonation tour as a part of the New Japan of America (NJoA) subsidiary in North America. The second event of the tour features three interesting matchups.
The marquee match of the event features an elimination match between Bullet Club members former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, former IWGP Intercontinental Champion, and IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion “Switchblade” Jay White, former six-time IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga/Tanga Loa), former NEVER Openweight Champion and New Japan Cup USA 2020 winner Kenta, and “Young Gun” Hikuleo.
Their opponents are former IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and World Tag League 2019 winners FinJuice (Juice Robinson/David Finlay), Ring of Honor (ROH) roster member Brody King, ACH, and “Alpha Wolf” Karl Fredericks.
Competitors can be eliminated through falls (pin/submission) or by being thrown over the top rope and having both feet touch the floor.
As “All Heart” Blake Christian prepares for the Super J Cup on December 12th he takes on his friend and rival Alex Zayne in what should be a high flying match that fans of the United States independent wrestling scene clamor for.
Will Christian gain a bit of momentum going into Super J Cup 2020, or will he have a setback that could cost him his opening round match against ROH talent Rey Horus?
After The DKC’s partner NJPW Los Angeles (LA) Dojo Yong Lion and Lion’s Break Crown 2020 winner Clark Connors defeated Logan Riegel on the Road to Detonation tour opener on November 27th, Sterling Riegel has the opportunity to gain a measure of revenge as the rivalry between the two teams continue.
The match should see a contrast between The DKC’s striking ability and Sterling Riegel’s quickness and will be a fast paced opening to NJPW Strong.
