After a two week holiday break, Impact Wrestling is officially starting the new year rocking and rolling as this is also the Go Home episode for Genesis this Saturday, and Impact Wrestling Preview is stoked.
The card is as stacked as it could possibly be, so let’s stop wasting time and get into things.
A couple of weeks ago, Moose and Willie Mack went after each other in an impromptu brawl, and the loser of it ended up being an Indie wrestler working security named Mathew Palmer.
Well, it’s not actually a loss as we’ll get to see him in action in the ring as Moose continues hit tear through the Impact Wrestling ranks.
What set this off was Palmer accidentally ripping Moose’s suit when he and Mack were being restrained. This led Moose to rant about “Indie wrestlers looking to make a name for themselves.”
To prove he belongs, Palmer just has to survive three minutes in the same ring as Moose, a feat that could feel like three years by the time Moose is done with him.

While we expect Moose to win this match with relative ease as he heads into his I Quit match with Mack at Genesis, it won’t surprise us if he doesn’t stop with that.
Impact Wrestling Preview expects him to continue the assault after the match and possibly prompt a Mack and/or security intervention.
We also think Mathews will put in a decent showing, though he’s literally a cow wears a raw steak around his neck being lowered into a shark tank storyline wise.
Super X-Cup Preview
The Super X-Cup will return at Genesis this Saturday, and we’re going to be treated to a preview of the tournament as Ace Austin, Crazzy Steve, KC Navarro, and Blake Christian face off.
This is going to be a four way free for all that has the potential to be the best match of the night as we’ll see a great combination of aerial artistry as they stoke the fires for the upcoming pay-per-view
But what’s really awesome is we’ll get to see wrestlers from other promotions and around the world, depending on travel restrictions.
This will not only give us a chance to enjoy different styles and possibly find some new favorites, but it’ll also give the wrestlers some great exposure.
We also expect to see some AEW and maybe even NWA talent appear, but we’ll have to wait and see how that develops.
As for this match, Ace Austin feels like a safe choice with Crazzy Steve a close second, but Impact Wrestling Preview would like to see either Navarro or Christian win it to shake things up.
This is going to be a wild one, so don’t blink or you’ll miss it.
