Nothing like starting things off with a fun match, and Impact Wrestling Preview has been looking forward to this one for a while. Since Tasha Steelz signed with Impact, to be honest.
After they briefly crossed paths in last week’s 12 Knockouts tag team match, Alisha Edwards will take Steelz on in a one on one match that promises to kick off the night in style.
Of course, we’re also fans of BTI (Before The Impact), but the show’s been entertaining and they’ve had good matches since premiering to set the stage for Impact.
While we think Edwards will hold her own in this one for the most part, Steelz has Kiera Hogan in her corner and that gives her an advantage.
Not that Steelz needs one as she one of the top wrestlers in the world, but two on one definitely helps out in any situation.
And while this causes us to lean toward Steelz winning, we can’t help but thing Edwards will have a surprise assist from someone to steal the win away.

Open for surprises
Impact hasn’t been shy about bringing back legends to help push their current talent, and while they have an awesome Knockouts division, they could always add a couple more.
One of those could be Gail Kim as fans have been itching to see her back in action after her post-retirement feud with Tessa Blanchard.
It would definitely be fun to see her back in the ring again, and since she’s currently working with the company as a producer and agent, it seems easy enough if she wants to do it.
Other possibilities include Killer Kim and Renee Michelle, who were last seen in Impact when they lost to Jazz and Jordynne Grace in the Knockouts Tag Team Tournament on December 1’s Impact Wrestling.
With plenty of choices out there, it could be fun if Edwards finds a tag team partner to feud with Fire ‘N Flava following this match.
Of course, this is pure speculation on our part as to her having a potential partner, but ti makes sense and it’ll be entertaining to see another competitor in the Knockouts division.
Plus, more competition for the tag titles aren’t a bad thing, either.
Still, as much fun as seeing a new tag team would be, we’re just happy to see Alisha Edwards in the ring again for consecutive weeks following a brief hiatus.
