This is going to be an interesting match for a few reasons, and Impact Wrestling Rebellion Preview is right in our hunch.
After Jazz retired, she told Jordynne Grace that she had the perfect partner for her in her match against Fire ‘N Flava for the Knockouts tag titles, and this past Thursday we learned it was Rachel Ellering.
Ellering came out to help Grace after she was jumped by Steelz when she had Hogan beaten and they double teamed her.
Together for the first time, the new team held the ring and sent Steelz and Hogan to the back, looking none too happy at the development.
As a lifelong fan of the Road Warriors, I’m excited to see their manager’s, Paul Ellering, daughter in action and it’s immediately brought to mind comparisons between this team and the Road Warriors.
I’m not saying they will be, but it’s a cool idea to possible start building a women’s version of the greatest tag team in history, and if they can come through and rekindle the same passion it’d be so awesome.
Of course, we’re keeping our hopes in check on that front but we do expect this to be a good match.
Steelz and Hogan have been great champions, and this could be a threat they haven’t seen yet.
A lot of it will depend on Ellering and how she performs in the ring, but we expect her and the others to give us a fun match.
Impact Tag Team Championship – FinJuice (David Finlay, Juice Robinson) (c) vs. The Good Brothers (Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows)
This feud has been full of excuses from the Good Brothers to FinJuice trying to prove they’re as good as Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson.
It ended with FinJuice getting the win at Sacrifice and becoming the Impact Tag Team Champions. The Good Brothers confronted them a few days later to demand their rematch.
FinJuice told then they had to wrestle for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) but they’d be back to give them a rematch at Rebellion.
Since losing to David Finlay and Juice Robinson, Gallows and Anderson have gone through a rebirth as they’ve switched gears from neutral to fifth.
The Good Brothers are capable of getting their titles back, but will they? This will be a hard fought match, but we think FinJuice will prevail.
They’ll continue to look to prove themselves, and if they managed to get through this match with the titles they’ll take huge strides in growth.
