The final Raw before WrestleMania took place last night, with very few surprises before the biggest show of the year. There was a heel turn among the most newsworthy events that took place, but it always seemed likely that either Asuka or Rhea Ripley would turn on the other.
But, could the Raw Women’s Championships be one of the titles that is in most danger of changing hands at WrestleMania this coming weekend?
WWE News: Raw Women’s Championship
There is a strong case to be made that Mania night will be the night that Asuka’s hold on the Raw Women’s Championship will be lost. The title reign has become slightly stale, and Ripley is the perfect star to take the gold and run with it for the next couple of months.
Ripley’s big Mania moment was slightly spoilt 12 months ago, as Mania went behind closed doors, but the WWE will all but make up for that this time around as Ripley kickstarts her main roster career by becoming the new Raw Women’s champion.
WWE News: Women’s Tag Team Championships
The women’s tag team division is in desperate need of a shake-up. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are a team in the loosest sense of the word, as they have no long-term plans to remain partnered up. The end to their tag team title reign will come at Mania, with the challengers decided on the opening night of the PPV.
The only genuine team in the mix for the titles are the Riott Squad, and a victory for Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott would be the perfect start to get things underway on the second night of action. They will come through the number one contender match on Saturday to dethrone the reigning champions.
WWE News: Intercontinental Championship
The final championship that could be changing hands over the coming weekend will be the Intercontinental Championship. Big E is the reigning champion, but Apollo Crews will be challenging for the title for the final time. Crews has been doing some good work with his new persona, and Big E could drop the title to focus on something fresh, which could lead to a match for the Universal title.
It may be one of the more shocking defeats, but one loss isn’t likely to hurt Big E that much, while another defeat for Crews would end his momentum immediately.
