This past Raw we saw the return of Jeff Hardy, albeit as a jobber to Jinder Mahal, and it brought up a question we’ve been wondering about the WWE burying him.
There have been plenty of rumors and accusations through the years of former talent saying Vince McMahon would bury someone, often for the smallest of violations.
And since we hadn’t seen Jeff for a month or two, many were left wondering if he was injured, had a violation of some sort, or had fallen out of favor.
According to some reports online, it appears that Jeff wasn’t buried in any way and was simply given time off for WWE’s talent rotation policy.
In the above linked article by sportskeeda, other wrestlers like Nikki Cross, Angel Garza, and Humberto Carrillo were moved out of the spotlight.
Rotation needed
As we’ve seen the last few weeks, Carrillo and Garza have seen more TV time and Cross appeared on the Main Event and we can reportedly expect her to return to Raw before too long.
This is great news fans of Jeff Hardy and others, and it appears the WWE simply wants to shift their mid carders around so they don’t grow stale.
It makes sense as their biggest names would get the most TV time, but with most of their recent shows feeling more like walking promos, which means there’s plenty of room to utilize the talent they have.
Of course, this begs the question as to why we see certain mid card or slightly above wrestlers on every week when mixing things up would be better.
But it’s something that’s open to debate as each of us have our favorites, but it’s good to know they have plans for Jeff on some level and he probably won’t be a jobber.
This does help keep wrestlers fresh for our perspective, but it’s hard not to expect other happenings given the reported history behind the scenes.
We’re looking forward to what is in the cards for Jeff moving forward and it does bring up questions of him having any title runs in his future.
Maybe he’ll even get another world title run out of it, and since they’ve given Goldberg a couple without any decent buildup or storylines, it’s definitely something they can work out in some way.
