Backstage, Riddle and the New Day discussed ways to embarrass their opponents when Orton appeared and the New Day said they would’ve defended his honor if they knew he was going to get hit.

After he left Riddle, Woods, and Kingston shared a laugh.
Looking for an edge
MVP knocked on Braun Strowman’s dressing room door and then entered without being invited.
Strowman told him to get out and he didn’t want to talk business.
MVP said Lashley didn’t beat him last week, McIntyre did. He added that Lashley told him he’s the strongest individual he ever faced and he might’ve won had it not been for McIntyre.
MVP told him if Lashley would lose, he’d rather lose to Strowman and if McIntyre got injured and couldn’t be at the PPV it would be a one on one match.
Strowman told him he really doesn’t like him and MVP said it’s fine and he doesn’t take it personally because it’s just business
Priest’s idea
Adam Pearce and Damian Priest were talking when The Miz and John Morrison entered and Pearce said Priest has an idea that’s beneficial for everyone.
Morrison wasn’t shy about blaming the Miz for his loss last week, and Priest said if Morrison beats him tonight he gets to pick the stipulation for Priest’s and Mix’s match at Backlash.
If Priest wins, he gets to pick. The Miz tried to refuse but Morrison accepted.
