It looks like another batch of releases is coming to WWE. There has been mention of NXT UK and NXT getting releases, but that hasn’t happened yet. But there’s new information suggesting more from the main roster are coming as well. We are going to try and predict who could be released in the next batch of releases.
We here don’t wish for anyone to be fired, but the wrestling world is a little different as it seems like all these wrestlers could easily walk into another company after their 90 days. Now that the world is opening up once again, so does the wrestling world.
Akira Tozawa
He is currently the 24/7 champion but is a very unused talent. He could end up in Impact Wrestling or ROH in the future.
Angel Garza
Angel Garza is on this list and has already shown his potential in WWE but just hasn’t been used right yet. Many past releases have been talented that have just been booked terribly, making him on the release list due to this. He could end up anywhere after his release and most likely be used a lot more.
Gran Metalike and Lince Dorado
Gran Metalike’s run in CMLL was great but not in WWE. Lince Dorado and his tag partner could be fantastic anywhere else, but they are very underused in WWE. Making it very likely they will be released in the future. But if they did and decided to stay together, they could be fantastic in the tag team scene in the future.
Kona Reeves
Kona Reeves is one of the NXT wrestlers expected to get released as he has not been seen for countless months. So unless he moved to a different roster, it looks like he won’t be used in the foreseeable future.
Keith Lee
Sadly, we don’t know what is happening with Keith Lee, if he will even wrestle or not as of yet. We do hope to see Keith Lee back. Sadly though, WWE doesn’t take injuries with them releasing wrestlers who got injured too often.
If Keith Lee is injured and not able to return, it’s likely that he will get released. All of us hope to see Keith Lee healthy and return to the ring as soon as possible.
Ridge Holland
Ridge Holland was just about to get a decent push on NXT, but injury struck at the worst time. Due to this, it may be possible that WWE sees him as injury prone and release him. We hope this doesn’t happen, as releasing a star when injured or straight after is terrible.
Ricochet
One of the most underused talents in WWE. Out of all the talent on the list of possible releases, Ricochet might be the one to benefit from it the best.
Robert Roode
Formerly, Bobby Roode was terrific in NXT, but his main roster run has paled in comparison. He comes under the underused talent pool. With him only getting to have a tag team run with Dolph Ziggler, He deserves a lot better, which means that his release may be very beneficial. A return to Impact Wrestling would be fantastic.
The Fiend/ Bray Wyatt
We currently aren’t sure where The Fiend is, with no official statement suggesting where he has gone. In the past, he has suffered from mental health issues and Brody Lee’s recent passing. The time away may be due to this. The Fiend, though, has been weirdly sideline throughout his career in WWE. Every time something big comes from him.
There seems to be a bad creative decision that stops him from hitting the next level. This would be devastating to see The Fiend go, but it could be possible in another company where he could have the freedom to break new ground for his character.
