Right now in Impact Wrestling, we’re coming off two of the best matches in the company’s history – with Moose & Josh Alexander giving their all to become the Impact Wrestling World Champion. Josh Alexander originally claimed the belt back in 2021, only to have Moose cash in a title shot and defeat Alexander who just came away from an epic battle against the legendary Christian Cage. However now in 2022, Moose has made it clear that this was all business.
Moose Doesn’t Really Hate Josh Alexander
While sitting down with Fightful, Moose would go on record and claim he never really hated Josh Alexander.
“I still have a lot of emotions going through my head right now. I had, I believe, one of the greatest reigns as IMPACT World Champion. But, yeah, it sucks. I have all the respect in the world for Josh. A lot of people don’t know this, I never really hated Josh. I just did what I had to do to be champion. Like I said, it could have been Jesus Christ in that ring with me—and I love Jesus Christ—but I would have done the exact same things that I did to Josh. I respect Josh. I’ve spoke highly of him. I think he’s one of the greatest in-ring pro wrestlers in the world and I’m happy he’s champion. Let’s see what he does with his reign.”
Moose would also have a chance to discuss the feedback received for his match with Alexander at Rebellion, saying the following.
“Going on social media and seeing all the great stuff people were saying about it, about it being one of the greatest matches IMPACT Wrestling’s history, and five star, instant classic. I’m just happy that I had a great dance partner in Josh to take me through that.”
Josh Alexander Defends The Title Tonight At Under Siege
Tonight is the next test for Alexander as Impact Wrestling Champion, as he faces NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii during a special event. This is expected to be another incredible main event for Impact Wrestling. Moose is not booked for the event, but told fans to keep an eye to Under Siege for his next moves in the company. He had the following to say while speaking with Joey G. of Wrestling Headlines.
“I don’t know man. What should I do? Should I take some time off? Should I take time off to heal my body? Should I start from the bottom again and build myself to the top? Should I ask for matches against some of the best? I have no idea. There are so many questions out there for me and I don’t know what to do yet, but whatever I decide you guys will know at Under Siege. So tune in and see what’s next for Moose.”
