Being involved with WWE generally means that you gain a certain level of fame. While this certainly has it’s perks, 2023 Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley has noticed one of the flaws.
When simply trying to get through the chaos of an airport – Ripley has been stopped by fans asking for her to sign numerous items. This is something she has now put her foot down about – asking fans to learn that no means no.
Rhea Ripley Asks Fans To Respect Wrestlers In Airports
Taking to Twitter, Rhea Ripley would have the following to say about how fans interact with wrestlers while navigating airports.
“People need to respect that no means no! At airports do not follow me outside. Today has put me off completely! I will not sign ANYTHING that isn’t a personal photo of us anymore. Hate me, I don’t care. Disagree with me, try putting yourselves in our shoes for one bloody day.”
This is far from a new issue, and there are very few in WWE who would be likely to disagree. It’s one thing to recognize a wrestler and want to say hi, but another entirely to expect them to sign a stack of pictures with intentions to sell them on eBay.
Potentially About To Main Event WrestleMania And Become Even Bigger Star
Ripley is only going to become a bigger star in WWE as time goes on, entering the biggest match of her life at WrestleMania 39. She’s set to potentially be in the main event of night one, as she looks to take the Smackdown Women’s Championship from Charlotte Flair.
While it’s not confirmed they will close out the first night of WrestleMania action, they’re one of the two matches being considered.
Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens vs. The Usos is the other option. Ric Flair recently chimed in – saying that they deserve the main event spot, simply due to Ripley having won the Royal Rumble.
Either way, Ripley is set to be in a huge match – and potentially be the first to hold the NXT UK, NXT, Smackdown & RAW Women’s Championships.
