Hello and welcome to this week’s Impact Wrestling Xplosion Recap!
This was a little late in being published on Impact Plus, but it should be a fun one.
Chris Sabin defeated Benjamin Carter by pinfall after hitting a spinning Falcon Arrow
This was pretty cool. Carter is from Britain and was trained by Seth Rollins. This should be a good match.
This match was an awesome display of speed, athleticism, and basics as these two squared off.
Ben Carter has a really bright future if this match is any sign of what he can achieve.
Sabin countered Carter’s speed with basic moves like a clothesline and neckbreaker, and Carter showed his willingness to use old school moves like a backslide and jawbreaker.
What was really cool was Sabin shaking Carter’s hand to start the match, and then helping him up and shaking his hand after the match.
Around the Ring with Nevaeh
David Penzer’s interview with Nevaeh continued as they talked about her marriage to another wrestler.
Neveah said while they’re both wrestlers, they don’t combine into a team or anything like that; he does his thing and she does hers.
She added that for them, while wresting is a big part of their lives, when they’re home they want to make it about family. This helps them balance things out so their careers don’t interfere with each others.
She said it’s great knowing there’s someone that has her best interests at heart and cam help her with what she’s doing and where she can improve.
Their children understand the different aspects of it to various degrees as the oldest one loves the modeling and the young asks if they’re fighting and if they’re going to be okay as she’s concerned.
Their date night on Saturday would involve lots of food. She’s a steak person with asparagus since potatoes are a breakfast food.
When asked about what she wants to accomplish in Impact Wrestling, she said she wants to see the Knockout tag titles come back and win those.
She added it’s selfish, but she excels in a tag team environment.
He then asked her about her relationship with Havok.
She said they’ve known each other for over ten years and they get along great and they’ve won tag team titles elsewhere.
Penzer closed it out by asking if she’d like to share her social media, and she said everywhere it’s nevaehoi4k.
He finished it out by asking if she has a message for the fans, and she responded that our support has been there her entire career, and she added that not only does she believe she can do this, but she wants to show us she can do it as a thanks for all the support over the years.
From everything Impact Wrestling Xplosion Recap has seen, she’s a wonderful and gracious person and it’s great to see her success growing.
Impact Classic Match – Bound For Glory 2005 – 30 Minute Iron man Match for the X-Division Championship – AJ Styles (c) defeated Chris Daniels 1-0 after hitting a Styles Clash
This was an amazing match as we got to see two greats back in the early parts of their careers. There’s something about seeing them wrestle among the fans that made the opening minutes perfect.
One gripe we have is there was a commercial break and we came back with roughly 6 or so minutes gone, but it’s a pretty cool tease to get us to watch the pay-per-view in their archive.
The ending of this match was epic as Styles hit the Styles Clash for the pin with one second left in the match for a one fall to none victory.
Last week’s main event
As we’ve come to expect, they closed the show with last week’s main event we covered here, where The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) defeated Ace Austin and Madman Fulton by pinfall.
As always, it was a fun show with a couple of great matches, new and old, and another great interview.
