Last night on AEW Dynamite, cameras would show former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese in the crowd. Commentary addressed him and wondered what he was doing around, with Jim Ross even discussing his “Premier Athlete” nickname. He never got involved in the action of the night, even when Anthony Greene was being abused by Bobby Fish. However, he would enter the ring at today’s AEW Dark tapings – making his debut.
Tony Nese Makes Debut Against Fuego Del Sol
Nese would be involved with the latest tapings of Dark in Orlando, Florida. No formal announcement has been made about him signing, but Nese is a top talent who always gives 100% in the ring. He faced Fuego Del Sol as his debut match, with it being called the best match of the tapings as of that point by those in attendance.
He might even rejoin some old friends now that he is in AEW. Back when The Best Friends originally formed on the indies, Tony Nese stood alongside Trent? & Chuck Taylor. Adding in both Tony Nese & Wheeler Yuta would really expand the factions skill set, and open up 10 man tag team action for the group when everyone is healthy.
Another Major Match To Look Out For On AEW Dark – Bryan Danielson Makes Dark Debut
In arguably bigger news, Bryan Danielson will make his debut for AEW Dark. Generally major stars in AEW have appeared on Dark, with Jon Moxley & Kenny Omega having made multiple appearances, as well as The Young Bucks, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy and more. However, none of the new big arrivals like CM Punk have made their way onto Dark, but Danielson does simply want to wrestle everyone.
His match was announced by Tony Khan, and he will be taking on Aaron Solo of the Factory faction. This will likely mean Danielson interacts with QT Marshall & Nick Comoroto as well, setting up future matches for him on Dark. He could have a secondary storyline on Dark as he takes down The Factory, giving extra reason for fans to tune into the YouTube exclusive show.
