PWG’s Battle Of Los Angeles 2019 starts on September 19th.

It’s a three night tournament, with nights two and three occurring on the 20th and 22nd. It emanates from the Globe Theatre, which is of course in LA, California. Sadly, there’s no live distribution. So you’d have to buy a ticket to watch it as it happens. It’s a blessing and a curse though, as PWG’s lack of television is the whole reason they’re able to assemble so many huge names from major wrestling promotions in the first place. It’s always been their bread and butter to put together dream matches that you wouldn’t see anywhere else.

I mean, there aren’t a lot of places where you can see CMLL guys like Dragon Lee or Cavernario face off with AAA stars like the Lucha Bros or Laredo Kid. Or New Japan/ROH’s Jeff Cobb squaring off with AEW’s Darby Allin. They’ve been known to use names from Impact as well, it’s something else. And for 2019’s BOLA, it’s a unique tournament lineup for sure, filled to the brim with talent.

Generally speaking, DVD releases do come out within a month of the event airing, with digital distribution coming out in the months after. This is traditionally in conjunction with HighSpots.com.

As a tournament junkie, and as a fan of many involved, I will personally be looking forward to the release!
