Wait, what? Someone hold the phone. There’s a new report that suggests Marvel is looking to cast Ronda Rousey for a She-Hulk role. Here’s what you need to know.
According to reports, Ronda Rousey might star in her first ever big screen film and yes, she is going to be the star. As one would naturally expect from her, right? While there are some people casting down on whether or not a She-Hulk project will see the light of day (especially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe), there’s speculation that it might happen sooner rather than later.
Is Ronda Rousey Going To Be The New She-Hulk?
There are even some rumors that suggest a series might end up on Disney’s new Disney Plus streaming service in the future. And while there’s really not much information about, some people believe that Ronda Rousey might end up with the titular role. As many fans know, Ronda has managed to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Even though she’s still contracted with the WWE, she’s got plenty of side gigs in Hollywood that have kept her busy.
Back in 2018, Ronda opened up about some of the challenges of acting. While being a sports entertainer does technically consist of some acting, she says that doing it in front of a cast and crew and of course a camera is totally different. She told LRM Online:
“Well I’ve been studying acting since probably like about, 2013 and 2012. So, I still consider myself a student, and new, no matter how long I’ll be doing it. But I consider myself a student in all this. And I feel like being a student in itself is a skill. I try, I really pride myself in being a great student and trying to learn as quickly as possible. Honestly, that’s what motivates me the most, is learning things are new. I think that a lot of people doubt that anyone could master more than one thing. It’s easy to get stuck in, you know, you’re already good at this thing, you’re good at what’s comfortable.”
