In a recent Instagram post, John Hennigan aka John Morrison, Johnny Impact and several other names, revealed that he was going in for stem cell treatments. He’s headed to Medellin, Columbia to work with a team called BioXcellerator, and receive treatment for his nagging injuries. He had the following to say on his Instagram page:
“I’m excited to head to Medellin, Colombia, South America to receive according to my research safe and extremely advanced stem cell treatment for nagging injuries incurred over the last 18 years of making towns, bumping & feeding, & taking dudes to Slamtown orthopedic injury to traumatic brain injury, to rare auto immune disease, If you want to become a #bioXmen or #bioXwomen, reach out to BioXcellerator and ask for my good friend David Truitt- he knows what’s what regarding stem cell treatment David guided me through my consultation with care and passion & if you’re interested in stem cells he’ll do the same for you- direct message him on his personal instagram page @iowahawksfan06 with questions or to get started Tell him I sent you!”

It’s an interesting time for John Morrison.
He’s a recently established free agent, with his Impact Wrestling contract expiring early this month. He went ahead and added a myriad of hashtags, including WWE, Impact, NJPW, AEW, ROH and amusingly, UFC.
It’s a fortuitous period to be a free agent in wrestling to be sure. There are more companies giving out lucrative deals now than we’ve seen in decades. One would think a guy like Hennigan would be in high demand. Even approaching his 40th birthday he’s an athletic marvel. In recent years, he’s had success in Impact, AAA and Lucha Underground.
Now of course, he would need a new name, as John Morrison is a WWE name. And Johnny Impact is obviously Impact-exclusive. But that’s nothing new to him, by any stretch. He’s had eleven different ringnames in his time, all of them beginning with ‘John’ or ‘Johnny’.
Personally speaking, I think Johnny Elite has a ring to it…
But he’s got a lot of choices, as he laid out. He didn’t even bring up MLW, who I imagine would love to have him, or places like Evolve, Progress or PWG where his style would be much appreciated.
Where do you expect John Hennigan to pop up next? Where would you most like to see him compete? And what ringname would you pick for him if given the chance?
