This past Saturday the National Wrestling Allience (NWA) held their PPV event Into The Fire. Following a fantastic main event bout between James Storm and the NWA Champion Nick Aldis, a very familiar song hit. This was the theme song of The Villian, Marty Scurll. Scurll is looking to avenge his loss at the Crockett Cup earlier this year, where he failed to claim the NWA Championship. Coming down to the ring and staring down Nick Aldis told us his purpose for showing up, but he would elaborate in an interview which was cut short due to the PPV ending.
Tomorrow night on NWA Powerrr, we will see the full interview and hear exactly what Marty Scurll had to say about his shocking appearence. This is sure to bring some extra hype and excitement to their weekly show, which has been waning in popularity of of late.
Marty Scurll: What Is His Future?
Everyone was so sure that Marty was to join his friends in All Elite Wrestling, but with him still winning matches and being a co-holder of the trios titles in Ring of Honor; people aren’t sure. He is also going to be involved with NWA, but between those two companies, I don’t think we will see him in AEW yet. Only Marty himself truly knows what is happening, and I doubt that will be brought to light in his interview for NWA, but the only way to know is to tune in tomorrow evening.
Stu Bennett is also set to try and get some exclusive information out of the Villian, so if nothing else, we will have a better picture of his future in the NWA by tomorrow night. Villian Enterprise members PCO & Brody King are former NWA Tag Team Champions, could we see them flank their leader in NWA again?
There are more questions than answers right now, but that is generating some much needed hype for both Marty & NWA. Marty went from one of the most popular wrestlers in the world to really cooling off after a dull year in Ring of Honor, so the added excitement of his return to NWA is helping bring him back to the forefront of wrestling.
What do you think Marty Scurll has to say about his return to the National Wrestling Alliance? Let us know down below in the comments, and stay tuned as we will have coverage of NWA Powerrr for you tomorrow even if you’re unable to watch yourself.
