NXT UK is a brand which WWE has not taken live yet, instead taking the approach of taping a bunch of episodes to air as they build towards upcoming events. This means we don’t have to wait to see who will be joining Angel Garze & Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott in what could be another show-stealer of a match which will see the Cruiserweight Championship on the line for Worlds Collide on January 27th.
Jordan Devlin & Travis Banks Join The Fatal Four Way For Cruiserweight Championship
At the tapings in York, NXT UK has decided their two participants for the Fatal Four Way match at Worlds Collide. Firstly, ‘The Irish Ace’ Jordan Devlin defeated El Ligero to qualify. Devlin needed a win after his loss to Tyler Bate at NXT UK Takeover Blackpool. The second addition came after Travis Banks would defeat Brian Kendrick to earn his spot in the match. Banks has been kind of spinning his wheels since arriving in NXT UK, so getting a big chance to prove himself will be very beneficial to his WWE career as a whole.
These are two of the best people NXT UK could have to represent them at Worlds Collide, with Jordan Devlin being a very strong contender to win it all. He might have come up short against Tyler Bate, but he is positioned to become a major star for NXT UK going into 2020. Travis Banks is the dark horse entering this matchup. He has yet to really prove himself as a star in WWE, but the former Progress Champion is not someone to overlook.
Worlds Collide Is A Card Of Show Stealing Matches
This has quickly become a match where any of the four men could easily walk away as champion. It could steal the show on a card that also contains Johnny Gargano & Tomassao Ciampa facing off with Tyler Bate & Trent Seven. The show will also have Rhea Ripley defending the NXT Womens Championship against Toni Storm, Finn Balor facing Ilja Dragunov, and Undisputed Era facing Imperium in the main event.
Fans were skeptical that Worlds Collide would be a good replacement of an NXT Takeover before the Royal Rumble, but it has a card that is on par with the average NXT Takeover event.
