Seth Rollins is many things, but social media savy isn’t one of them.
It was just this past summer when Rollins took offense to fans complaining about the WWE and took to twitter to proclaim his love for the promotion that’s made him a wealthy man and has gone out of its way to push him as their top competitor whether we like it or not.
During his tirade of proclaiming the WWE is the best promotion on the planet (An opinion he’s definitely welcome to. In fact, he’s not alone in that.), he got into a mini beef with IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay and offered to compare bank accounts.
He showed his integrity by later apologizing, saying he knew he was wrong as soon as he sent the tweet, but he was too stubborn for his own good and it didn’t align with his values. He pledged no more stupid tweets.
Now, fast forward to his current story line and a spat with Sasha Banks, who apparently thought it better to troll him instead of his fiancé, Beck Lynch, by copying his tweet about facing Rey Mysterio on Raw and changing it.
Seth Rollins’ tweet
“This is a match I’ve been looking forward to my entire life. The fact that I’m defending the Universal Title on the #RAW Season Premiere against @reymysterio in 2019 is mind boggling. Even 6 days out from #HIAC & @WWEBrayWyatt, I’ll empty the tank for one of the greatest ever.”
Sasha Banks’ tweet
“This is a match I’ve been looking forward 2 my entire life. The fact that I’m wrestling 1/2 of the Tag Champs on the #RAW Season Premiere against @AlexaBliss_WWE in 2019 is mind boggling. Even 6days out from #HIAC & @BeckyLynchWWE I’ll empty the tank for one of the greatest ever.”
Not to be outdone, Rollins posted a pretty good shot at her that resembled when he got personal with Ospreay.
“This is a match I’ve been looking forward to as much as every other match you’ve ever had…aka, not at all. Luckily for me, you’ll underdeliver like you always do and continue to wonder why you’re not in more main events.”
Ouch.
It gets better
And it got better as Charlotte Flair replied, which prompted Banks to post with a gif of Rollins wiping away a tear after Banks’ TakeOver Brooklyn match with Bayley in 2015. It also showed him standing next to his former girlfriend, Zahra Schreiber, who, rumor has it, he started seeing while engaged to someone else.

All in all, it was a fun exchange, but Rollins deactivated his Twitter sometime on Friday (9/27) following this exchange.
He could’ve done so for various reasons. One fan theory is the Fiend shut it down since he’s been messing with Raw’s opening. Another is Rollins is busy and didn’t want to deal with the possibly thousands of notifications from Banks’ fan base.
Or, maybe he just shut it down before he said something he’d later regret. If anything, it should be interesting to see how it plays out on Raw.
