WWE Raw just wrapped up here tonight. I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer, finishing up the coverage of tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw. It’s been a fairly good night, got some good TV matches in and some decent angles.
We’re coming off of the main event, which saw Rey Mysterio, Humberto Carrillo and Ricochet take on the OC – AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. This was setup earlier in the night during a segment in which Mysterio, Humberto and Ricochet emerged to make the save for Randy Orton, when all three members of the OC were ganging up on them.
It was a pretty good match, very much what you want and would expect from a Raw main event. Ultimately, the OC won out in the end, with AJ Styles finishing off Ricochet with an Avalanche Styles Clash.
You can see an excerpt of my recap of the match below:
AJ wants the Styles Clash, Ricochet drives him into the corner. AJ charges – right into the Recoil! Anderson breaks up the pin. Mysterio dropkicks Anderson, nails the 619! Gallows with a big boot to Rey on the apron. Humberto knocks Gallows to the floor, hits a beautiful corkscrew tope! In the ring, AJ wants the Styles Clash again, Ricochet with a rana coutner for 2! AJ ducks a shot, blasts him with a pele kick! AJ takes Ricochet up top, pursues. Ricochet escapes to the apron, big right hand to the face! Anderson charges but a back elbow takes him to the floor – Ricochet springs off the second rope for a crisp moonsault press to Anderson! Ricochet rushes back up for a Super Rana – but AJ counters with an Avalanche Styles Clash! That is sure as hell that.
Winners: The OC
After the match, Randy Orton snuck up for his typical RKO outta nowhere to take out AJ Styles. The two of them will assuredly be squaring off one-on-one sooner rather than later.
