Nikki Cross is one of the few talents that just about everyone loves, and yet her victories are inconsistent.
While she’s shown glimpses of what’s to come, she keeps getting the short end of the stick.
For one, her wins always seem to come because no one expects her to do anything, and when they’re ready she loses. It kinda gets old after a while, but it’s an understandable quirk.
Her character is unpredictable, and her matches show that a good tactician can overcome her moments of emotional explosions and onslaught.
It makes perfect sense, and makes her teaming with Alexa Bliss all the more meaningful.
All for one
Together, they’ve proven to be a very good team and have no problem defending their belts regularly, which only adds to their reputation. It’s also a great opportunity for her to work with one of the best superstars and further hone her craft.
Just imagine how awesome Cross will be after working with Bliss and others regularly for a few months to a year?
It’s consistency that counts
Sean Waltman (X-Pac, 1 2 3 Kid) had said in an interview about Tom Magee that it would’ve been great if Magee had worked with Bret Hart Ted DiBiase for a year.
This feels like something similar as Cross has the talent both in the ring and out and may just need some fine tuning to take the next step.
Of course, this is all speculation since it’s impossible to know the exact reasons, but it makes sense.
While she may end up being the women’s division’s version of Sycho Sid at some point, it would be nice to see them throw a few more singles wins her way that aren’t of the surprise variety.
