One of the most missed WWE superstars is rumored to be ready to jump back into the squared circle.
Sheamus has missed the last five months after suffering a concussion, and it’s been reported he’s also been dealing with spinal stenosis.
While he’s been seen at various events, he hasn’t been cleared to return to the ring until recently. The only thing that’s believed to be keeping him from returning is the WWE wants to wait until they have a story line for him.
While there isn’t a timetable for his return, many believe he’s be part of the upcoming draft (Oct 11 and 14).
His thoughts
He appeared on the Edge and Christian podcast, where he said he didn’t know what the plan was.
“That’s how I’ve stayed relevant, just by changing the look a little bit, as opposed to where I’m at now,” Sheamus divulged. “I don’t really know what the crack is. I’m still waiting. I’m just, again, enjoying my time. Like, it’s very hard for me to sit at home all the time, but that’s why the channel has been a saving grace as well. It’s kind of my passion away from the ring and I’ve really enjoyed doing all these workouts and, again, everybody has been so generous, WWE Superstars, men and women, have also been so generous with their time on the channel. But I don’t really know what the story is as of right now. I’m still kind of in the dark about it, but I’m just training away like I’m trying to stay in the best shape I possibly can. A) because the channel is there and I’m working out all the time, but also because it is very important just to stay ready just no matter what happens.”
Added flexibility
Sheamus’ return will add more than another body or known commodity to the mix, he brings the ability for WWE creative to come up with new angles and rivalries that we either haven’t seen before or injecting new life into old ones. Basically, it gives them a new toy to play with, and we’ll get to reap the benefits of everyone’s hard work once he hits the ring.
