A few days ago, it was announced that the nWo would enter the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s represented by Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, and Syxx. They were part of the original six members of the game-changing faction, with Ted DiBiase & The Giant (Big Show) entering before Sean Waltman would. Despite this, he is becoming a two-time Hall of Famer with this induction. He entered last year as a member of Degeneration X, making him the only man to enter the Hall of Fame in back to back ceremonies.
That being said, he doesn’t want to become the first ever three-time Hall of Famer, despite also being accomplished as a singles star.
Sean Waltman Is Far From Selfish
“I have no desire whatsoever to stand up on that stage by myself and be inducted as a single. To be a part of something bigger and greater than yourself is just an amazing feeling to me … I’m just happy to be a part of something greater than me.” was what Sean Waltman had to say when asked about if he would ever want to receive the honors again.
He is happy with having been part of two of the biggest factions in wrestling history. No one had a better view of the Monday Night Wars than Sean Waltman did. He worked for both companies at the peak of their popularity and made his impact in both.
After The Monday Night Wars
While his career wasn’t as colorful following the end of the biggest boom period in wrestling, he remained a steady worker for WWE until 2002 and has wrestled every year since with the exception of 2004. Even in 2019 at 47 years old, he still made sure to wrestle a match. The 29-year in ring veteran has seen everything there is to see, and while some will take offense to him being a two time entrant into the Hall of Fame, he did more than enough to deserve the accolades.
