Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live results of the show as they come! WWE Raw is well underway at this point! We are most of the way through now, over two hours into this three hour show. We just saw the conclusion of one of the biggest matches of the night, a six man tag team match which saw Randy Orton team up with the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions, Viking Raiders – Erik & Ivar – against AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, the full configuration of the OC!
This match occurred thanks to AJ’s personal grudge with Randy Orton, plus his allies’ pursuit of the tag titles that the Raiders have kept a fierce hold on in recent weeks. The pairings already faced each other last week – taped earlier in the same night this show was held. On the first go-round, the OC beat the Viking Raiders, whilst Randy Orton pinned AJ Styles. Now, the two matches find themselves combined into one.
You can see an excerpt of my recap of this match below:
Erik tags back in, drives through Gallows, Exploder to Anderson! Pumphandle Suplex! Tag to Ivar, body block, pendulum side slam to Gallows! Basement Crossbody! AJ rushes in, gets driven into the corner, Erik throws Ivar into AJ! Anderson eats the Viking Experience! Erik covers, Gallows breaks it up! Ivar clotheslines Gallows! Pele kick from AJ, enziguri to Erik, Orton blind tags in, AJ hits a standing dropkick to Erik! Orton sneaks up behind, AJ tries to reverse but Orton goes for the Draping DDT! AJ shoves him away, Anderson sneaks up behind him but eats an RKO! Wants another on Gallows, but Gallows shoves him off – right into the Phenomenal Forearm from AJ! That is that.
Winners: The OC
Pretty solid trios match but as I noted, everyone here already worked a ton so it was a bit of a slow going affair. These are great conditioned athletes though so it wasn’t that big a deal. As expected the OC got the victory here. AJ pinning Orton in particular was probably the better idea given that Gallows and Anderson have already very much established that they can beat the Viking Raiders whereas Orton has turned AJ away at every turn.
