WWE SmackDown is soon to be upon us. And currently speaking, we actually have zero matches to speak of. But I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and I’ve gotta do my previews somehow! So let’s take a look at what little they’ve offered us about tonight’s show.
The Miz will be interviewed by Renee Young on tonight’s show.
Yes, Renee Young will be conducting a sit-down interview with the Miz two days ahead of his match with WWE Universal Champion Bray Wyatt. There’s plenty to talk about, given what went down last week, with Bray threatening the Miz’s family and laying him out backstage. It’s also currently thought that Daniel Bryan is basically being held hostage by the Fiend – or atleast, is with him in some way, after having his hair seemingly torn out a couple of weeks ago.
Miz has made clear that he wants to find out what happened to Bryan and what his whereabouts are, noting his importance to SmackDown and to the WWE as a whole. Thusly, the Miz has gotten himself directly involved in this fiasco himself.
In spite of my earlier assumptions, it really does look like the match between the Miz and Bray Wyatt will be non-title, for whatever reason. It also really, really looks like Miz will be facing the Firefly Funhouse host version of Bray rather than the Fiend himself. It may honestly be the idea that the Fiend is really the Universal Champion and thus he’s the only one who can defend that title. Don’t be shocked if it ends up working out that way.
So yeah, a lot to talk about and it’s of course very unlikely that Renee and Miz will end up having that ring all to themselves. It’s quite likely that Bray Wyatt will make his presence known one way or another.
