Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap of what goes on tonight with WWE Starrcade 2019! And man does writing ‘WWE Starrcade’ feel bizarre, even for a younger fan like myself… it’s going on as we speak and won’t be on the air for too long so we’ll be keeping track of it as much we can. I’ll be giving you the results of the whole show as it occurs, even the vast majority of it which we won’t see!
What I thought would be tonight’s main event just wrapped up, and yes the show is still going on. The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane defended their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles in a four way match with Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross, Sasha Banks & Bayley and Becky Lynch & Charlotte.
In spite of the odds, the champions retained in the match against six top flight competitors in the women’s division.
As expected, the titles didn”t change hands. I predicted not one title change, even for this, the only one that was actually airing live on the WWE Network. Still, it was a pretty cool match for what it was.

Tag to Asuka, Becky tries to fight her way out of a double team, Nikki tags herself in, crossbody to Asuka and Kairi at once. Spinning Neckbreaker to Asuka, but Sasha breaks up the pin! Everybody in to trade big moves now. Asuka with a wicked German Suplex to Becky! Kairi with a gorgeous Insane Elbow! Charlotte with a spear wiping out both of them! Nikki gets onto her back with a sleeper! Charlotte throws her away, goes for a spear but it’s avoided and she hits the second turnbuckle pad in nasty fashion. Asuka hooks Nikki into the Asukalock and gets the submission!
