While his on screen business partner might be Zelina Vega, behind the scenes Andrade has another partner. He has been involved with Charlotte Flair for quite some time now. On New Years Eve, Andrade got down on one knee and popped the question to the heir of the Flair Dynasty. She said yes. They seem to have been involved since atleast this time in 2018, as Charlotte made a tweet simply saying “Last year we were using Google translate for #NewYears. Happy New Years!!! @AndradeCienWWE”, to which he replied “Love is just a language.”
We can assume that somewhere in that moment, Ric Flair started crying, bladed, and likely did a Flair Flop. I reached out to Ric Flair to confirm this, but shockingly I did not hear back. We can only hope they don’t try and have their wedding on an episode of Monday Night RAW, as that never seems to end smoothly.
Andrade On Meeting Ric Flair
It is always daunting meeting your new lovers parents, but that would be highly amplified by it being a wrestling legend in Ric Flair. That was what Andrade had to face when he was brought to the Flair home for the first time. He spoke on this in an interview with Digital Spy earlier this year. “When we first met I was seriously so, so nervous,” Andrade said. “Now I’m so happy. I love Ric Flair. He’s a great person with me, he talks, texts me, sometimes we have dinner. He’s great with me now. When we first started dating, I asked Charlotte, ‘Please don’t say nothing to your dad’, and she said, ‘No it’s my dad, he won’t care.'” Ric Flair quickly took to Andrade, which is good as it seems like he will be seeing a lot more of him in the future.
Will We See Them Pair Up?
Both are dominant singles performers, so we likely won’t see them as a pairing. Andrade has his manager in the crafty Zelina Vega, so it wouldn’t make much sense to break them up. The only chance we have to see this happen could be another iteration of the Mixed Match Challenge, but I wouldn’t hold your breath on that one.
