NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II is underway as I type this folks! I’m Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come! And as this is being typed, we’re fresh off another grudge match! The Big Strong Boy Tyler Bate and the Irish Ace Jordan Devlin went one-on-one in a match with theoretically big stakes!
Devlin targeted Bate out of jealousy for Tyler getting title shots instead of him. With this the crux of the feud, it seemed likely to me that the winner here would go on to get further WWE United Kingdom Championship opportunities down the road.

Bate wants the Tyler Driver but Devlin stops him with a headbutt! Back body drop but Bate flips onto his feet, does the Kofi headspring, but bounces right back into the Spanish Fly from Devlin! But Bate sits up for a mean headbutt! And Devlin does the same! “Are you watching, Vince McMahon?” NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II is firing on all cylinders right now. Devlin goes up top, Bate clips him, pursues. But Devlin outwrestles him, Avalanche Spanish Fly!! Devlinside, NEARFALL!?! “Fight Forever”, “This Is Awesome”, Devlin stomps the back of Bate’s head! Devlin with a mocking Bop and Bang! Hooks for the Tyler Driver but Bate escapes, wants it too, Devlin back body drops him to the apron, BATE WITH A RUTHLESS HEADBUTT! Bate with a Springboard Tornado DDT! Hooks him…. TYLER DRIVER ’97! DEVLIN KICKS OUT?! Bate just flies to the top rope, Corkscrew Splash!! And that is that!!
Winner: Tyler Bate
Helluva fire match there, likely to the best pure wrestling match of the night, as far as technique, skill, speed and brawling goes. Really, just beautiful stuff. And with that win, hopefully we’ll get another Bate/Walter match in the future, I think we could all use that rematch!
