Ever since Roderick Strong was able to defeat Velveteen Dream to become NXT North American Champion, Undisputed Era have held all the gold in NXT. The prophecy was complete, they were in complete control. They were draped in gold. With their numbers advantage and skill, they were able to maintain that control as well. At NXT Takeover WarGames, Team Ciampa was able to defeat them in the double cage mayhem. One crucial factor of that victory was Keith Lee. Ever since then, he has been determined to take one of their championships. He failed to claim the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside Dominic Dijakovic, but he would find success when he would get Roderick Strong in a single match.
Bask In The Glory Of Your New North American Champion
After a hard fought match, and despite it looking more like a four on one handicap match at times, nothing would stop Keith Lee on this night. He would use his freakish athleticism and strength to completely overwhelm Roderick Strong. Strong would try to attack the hurt ankle of Keith Lee, but even that would not be enough to stop the limitless one. This would end the 126 day reign of Roderick Strong.
What Is Next For Keith Lee
With the Royal Rumble coming up this Sunday, it would be a surprise to not see Keith Lee take that new championship with him as he tries to earn a ticket to Wrestlemania. With him proving his dominance at Survivor Series where he took Roman Reigns to the limit, he will be a perfect fit for an NXT representative in the match. He will still be committed to NXT due to being the new North American Champion, and Undisputed Era will not let this loss go lightly. NXT Takeover Portland is quickly approaching, and we can expect Roderick Strong to demand a rematch at that event.
We could also see his rivalary with Dominic Dijakovic revived, they have had some mind blowing matches in the past in NXT, and they are deserving of a spot on a future NXT Takeover card where they could show the entire world exactly how good they can be.
