Zoe counters Thomas’ proposal with stipulation
Even the best laid plans have their hitches, and Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson) stumbled over one today. Well, he didn’t really stumble as much as ignore it when it was pointed out to him. To be fair, he was too high on his own fumes to pay attention, but still.

He’s been giving Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) all kinds of attention and affection lately, and it was obvious to Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) that he was overdoing it. She even pulled him aside to warn him about it, but Thomas being blinded by his own arrogance brushed her off and continued on. Of course, he never noticed the look of scorn Quinn shot him when he proposed.
Why should Thomas listen to Quinn or even care? The only people he needed to buy into what he says are Zoe, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), and his son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Simiri).
No one else matters, especially given he’s already snowed them into believing him. Well, the ones that matter, anyway.
We at CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers don’t think those few opposing him are dangerous, we believe it’s Zoe.
Our thinking is simple. Zoe has been doe-eyed and innocent in her defense of Thomas to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and anyone else that confronted her. But could that have been an act? She may have fooled us all and has never trusted Thomas. With Liam and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Long)’s repeated protests and facial expressions throughout the dinner party, maybe it was enough to give her pause?
There’s been a rumor for a while that she’s going to counter Thomas’ proposal with a stipulation, and this could be it.
Of course, there’s the question of what will she ask for? Thomas’ loyalty? That goes without saying. Access to the Forrester fortune? Another one that’s expected.
How about that he removes Hope from his life?
Sure, it’d show a darker side of her, but it’d be a good way for everyone to hear he has no interest in Hope. Makes sense, and if he really loves Zoe, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Although, she may not be as smart as we think she thinks she is, and she’ll play into Thomas’ plans.
This would set Douglas off and probably finish Hope’s resolve to do the right thing. This may even rekindle her feelings for Thomas and pull her further into his world.
Then there’s Douglas.
What will Douglas say?
This is where our speculation gets going.
Douglas broke the news that Hope’s daughter was alive, but he did so after overhearing his father talk about the baby and relayed that.
Could he have overheard Thomas talking about his plans? Where and when?
Douglas has been with someone and out of the room when Thomas discussed his ideas.
Maybe he and Zoe heard him talking to Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero). That would help explain Zoe making a demand of Thomas.
As for him being upset, he may have remained quiet at Zoe’s behest and that’s why he doesn’t like her and wants to stay with Hope. She may be going after Thomas like he’s been chasing after Hope.
This would be a huge character shift for her, but it’s possible.
