WWE Super Show-Down continues. Next up we have the New Day defending their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against John Morrison & The Miz.
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The New Day (c) vs. John Morrison & The Miz
Big E and Miz start things off. They lock up, E backs off, they lock up again, E starts hitting Miz with elbow strikes. E tosses Miz to the other side of the ring, Miz gets back up, Miz gets him with a kick and some blows to the head, E gets him into an abdominal stretch, and does his spanking spot. Miz tags in Morrison, E takes in Kofi. E comes back in, spears Morrison in the corner, uses E as a launching pad to get Morrison in the corner again. Morrison goes over the top rope, hitting E with a corksscrew, gets E back into the ring, ground and pounds E for a while then tags Miz in for a double team. Miz hits E with a big boot, starts choking him out on the mat, E struggles to get back up, trying to reach out to Kofi for a tag, Miz pulls him back, E finally throws him off, but he’s tired and hurt, lying on the mat. Miz gets him into the corner, lifts him up, Morrison gets him with an aerial scissors kick thing, cover, E kicks out.
E throws Morrison out, plants Miz with a uranage, tags Kofi back in. Kofi starts hitting Morrison with all sorts of stuff, running clotheslines, running kicks, a hurricarana in the corner for good measure, a jumping stomp, cover, Morrison kicks out. Kofi does a running kick, to a seated Morrison, hits the boom drop, throws Miz out, Morrison catches the trouble in paradise and gets Kofi with a running knee. Kofi gets the SOS, Morrison kicks out of it. They get into the corner, Kofi tags E in, Morrison hits E off the apron, E gets Morrison back up, Kofi hits Morrison with an elevated stomp, kicks out… Miz takes Kofi out of the ring, runs him into the barricade. Miz kicks E with the Bryan kicks, E picks him up, Miz escapes, Miz does a neckbreaker on E, Morrison follows with a stomp. Morrison goes for Starship Pain, E rolls out just in time. E tags Kofi in, set him Morrison for Midnight Hour, it hits, Miz breaks up the pin.
Kofi goes out of the ring, back first, looks TERRIBLE. Miz hits E with the Skull Crushing Finale, kicks out of it! Miz starts kicking E in the corner, running knees, over and over… eventually he misses, bouncing off the ropes as he hits the turnbuckle. Kofi comes back to life, tags himself back in, Kofi off the top rope, rolls Miz through, Miz kicks out, rolls him through the ropes again, Morrison with a chair shot through the ropes, Miz rolls up Kofi… and that’s the match, we got new champs!
Winners: The Miz & John Morrison
Looks like they’ll be jumping to that Usos feud sooner than I figured.
