Sasha Banks may be out with an ankle injury, but that won’t stop her from being newsworthy. One of the top female superstars in WWE is making her acting debut.
Sasha Banks To Appear In Season Two Of The Mandelorian
She joins Season 2 of the Star Wars show found on Disney +. There is no word on how big or small her role in the show will be, but she has filmed scenes for the show. Season Two of The Mandelorian will premiere this October, and more information on Sasha Banks involvement will become clear as that date approaches. This could be the catalyst for Sasha Banks becoming a mainstream star, something WWE could really use on their roster.
What Will Banks Be Doing For Wrestlemania?
While she is out with an ankle injury, the hope is that she will return in time to have a role at Wrestlemania. She was expected to feud with Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley into the show, but injury derailed those plans. Naomi seems set to be the opponent of Bayley at the biggest event of the year, leaving Sasha without a major match. This would make Sasha Banks a favorite to win the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at the event, giving her the biggest role she can find outside of the title picture at the event.
Will She Claim The Smackdown Women’s Championship In 2020?
Sasha Banks is one of the most decorated women in all of WWE. She has won the NXT Women’s Championship, the RAW Women’s Championship, and was part of the inuagural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Bayley. This leaves the Smackdown Women’s Championship as the only belt she has not won yet, along with the NXT UK Women’s Championship which is very much out of her reach. Bayley was the first woman to win all the titles, so it would be fitting if Sasha beats her to become the second to accomplish this accolade.
Sasha Banks will have plenty of time to win titles at Wrestlemania, so it won’t be the end of the world if she is unable to face Bayley this year. What do you hope she is doing come April 5th?
