One of the best storylines in wrestling right now is the awkward but budding romance between Otis & Mandy Rose. The two were set to go on a Valentines Date, but Otis was mislead into arriving late. This allowed Dolph Ziggler to swoop in and take his place. This will not be the end of the storyline, as reactions have been too good to end it so early. This has lead to a lot of speculation on what the true ending will be, and how we will get there.
Heavy Machinery vs. Roode & Ziggler
While the over the top love storyline is the best part of this whole ordeal, the men involved now are all wrestlers. With Dolph Ziggler getting involved, this will almost certainly spill out into the ring, alongside their respective tag team partners. With these two high level tag teams feuding, we should see some great matches to push the storyline forward.
How Will Sonya Deville Play Into This?
Mandy Rose also has a tag team partner who will be involved in this storyline, that being Sonya Deville. She has been opposed to Otis from the very beginning, and was likely the one who sent Otis the text informing him that Mandy was running late for their date. We could see her align herself with Roode & Ziggler as this storyline plays out, should Mandy find out the truth of her best friend. It could lead to the breakup of Fire & Desire, their tag team.
Otis, Tucker & Mandy Rose vs. Dolph Ziggler, Bobby Roode & Sonya Deville At Wrestlemania?
Should WWE be able to keep this storyline afloat until April 5th, we could see a very fun 6 person tag team match at Wrestlemania. This is exactly the type of storyline that will help give casual viewers something to love at the event. If it ended with Otis and Mandy embracing in the ring, it would be a Wrestlemania moment for the ages, and one fans would genuinely enjoy seeing.
All the pieces are here for WWE to deliver a truly fun story as Wrestlemania gets near, and the comedic chops of Otis will make it unforgettable. Fans just need to hope WWE doesn’t drop the ball on this storyline, as they often will.
