Thomas’ ignorance won’t hurt him

Remember those cartoons where the mouse constantly thinks it can grab the cheese before the trap snaps shut? Or doesn’t see the cat waiting around the corner with it’s claws ready for dissection?
Welcome to Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson)’s life in a few days.
Poor Thomas. He’s worked so hard to manipulate everyone into position for his big victory. If only he wasn’t so confident in his own scheming he might see how the other mice as pulling at the strands of his tapestry. It’s only a matter of time before it all comes crashing down, but will it be in time?
While many of us hope so, is it wrong to want him to succeed just because it’s what Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) deserves for being so dumb?
Sure, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) can goal Irate Puppy Boy and try to take out Thomas, but will it do any good? Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has discovered IQ points shouldn’t be counted with her fingers and may sacrifice everything to stop Thomas, but will it be enough?
So what if he’s clueless about how close he is to failing? All he needs is one person to make a decision, one person to do what she feels is best for Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). In the end, his scheme can fall completely apart, but if Hope decides to throw herself on the sword, he wins.
Imagine the looks of surprise, horror, and disgust on everyone’s face if that happens. Even Liam might look threatening for once. He also might lost his mind, but that’s another topic for another day.
In this case, ignorance could be bliss as Thomas continues to forge ahead and leave everyone in his wake. Rat Face will then become the Rat King. How cool would that be?
And that’d help out another character that’s been hiding on the sidelines in recent weeks.
Shauna’s plans may also unravel
Thomas and Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) getting married seems like it’d be an afterthought for Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards), but it could lead to bigger problems. At least, in her and CBS The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers’ mind.
With Thomas and Zoe married, she could be afraid it’s bring Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) together. It’s a reasonable concern since many have had their passion rekindled when there’s matrimony in the air.
The problem here is what will she do about it?
It’s possible she’ll go after Ridge hardcore, and that’d set Brooke off big time, which would reignite Brooke’s war with Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer), since it’d obviously be Quinn’s fault.
This could lead to other complications, especially is if the wedding falls through and Thomas gets Hope.
Oh, the possibilities are delicious.
