It was only a matter of time before we were drawn back into a Newman family feud. To be fair, CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers were getting a little antzy waiting for something to happen following the Gala, and it appears our patience is being rewarded
Just think, all we have to do is sit back and watch the fun unfold as old Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) returns, thanks to Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan).

Questioning motives
Because of the aforementioned ladies (mainly Phyllis’ quest for power), Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is questioning Adam’s motives for offering to help the family. There’s nothing secret about Adam’s past and what he’s done to Victor and Newman Enterprises, so Victor had every reason to second guess Adam. Especially after how they left things.
If there was ever a question to how alike they are, they can be put to rest after Adam’s reaction to the news at being usurped for the temporary CEO position by Phyllis infected Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Things could’ve gone a lot better, but Adam let his hotheadedness get the better of him. Victor handled it well, and we could see the wheels turning.
Still, the damage was done and instead of contacting Victor and letting him know he understands and remains an option for anything if Victor needs him, Adam fell into Chelsea’s web of destroying Newman Enterprises.
While Victor debates between what he thinks and wants to believe about his son, there’s a danger brewing on the horizon.
Chelsea’s planning her future
This is a little vague as teasers go, but we at CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers feel it’s going to mainly revolve around her and Adam and what they’re going to do to Newman Enterprises.
If this is the direction they’re going, then part of her time will undoubtedly be spent continuing to work on Adam to make sure the fire of revenge doesn’t fade and keep his newly discovered positive Newman outlook in the rearview mirror.
The thing about this is we suspect this isn’t so much her standing by Adam’s side and helping him, but redirecting her anger at having to sign over the Grand Phoenix to Phyllis. Sure, she said she felt lighter, freer with not having to deal with it, but deep down there has to be some resentment boiling and looking for a place to vent. Or a person to vent at.
There’s no way she would’ve known about Nick and Phyllis being back together, nor her pushing him to take the position. But it’s something she’s going to learn about sooner or later, especially given the fact Phyllis loves to gloat and it’s killing her to keep her mouth shut about besting Chelsea not once, but twice. Vicariously counts, we’re sure.
Once Chelsea learns this, CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers expects this to lead to her wanting to launch an all-out war on Victor and Newman Enterprises, and Adam may be the one to hold her back. But in the grand scheme of things, he’ll take the full brunt of the onslaught from the Newman family like always.
With all the twists and turns coming, CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers will be here the whole way with updates, spoilers, and speculations for our favorite shows, so check back often.
