The winner of the 2020 men’s Royal Rumble is Drew McIntyre. He was always destined to go on to Wrestlemania to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship, in his first one on one world title shot. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he is super confident going into this match as well, he knows he will defeat The Beast Incarnate. He just expected his moment would come in front of thousands of screaming fans, but that won’t come true. Wrestlemania 36 will take place in the WWE Performance Center, with no fans in attendance. Despite this, Drew McIntyre promises a night that no one will forget.
Drew McIntyre Is Still Going To Beat Brock Lesnar
Speaking with metro.co.uk, he spoke about this coming Wrestlemania.
‘It’s not a battle that I’m fighting myself, it’s a battle the world is fighting. But nevertheless, we’re going to get there, we’ve got WrestleMania over two days now – so no matter what, I’ll still beat Brock Lesnar for the title. It may not be how I envisioned it in my head, but I assure you, the world’s never going to forget this WrestleMania!’
In these uncertain times, fans need entertainment more than ever. We’re stuck in our homes en masse, to the point where WWE has opened the Network for anyone to enjoy past Wrestlemania’s and more. This is why WWE insists that the show goes on.
It’ll Be A Challenge That Drew Is Ready To Face
People have complained about WWE going forward with Wrestlemania 36, but the performers are proud to solider on and entertain their fans. Drew McIntyre is in the same boat as others like Edge. He also views this is a unique challenge for his career. From the same interview:
‘We’ll go as long as it’s safe,’ he added. ‘I’m just very happy and proud we’re still going on to provide people with an escape. For me, one, people are not going to forget this, and two, this is going to be challenge. I always love to challenge myself. Although it’s lovely to be in a stadium full of fans screaming, and my family and friends and wife there, but now that camera is going to be my personal audience.’
Do you think Drew McIntyre will thrive under these unique circumstances? Or will he fall to the Beast like so many before him? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
