The third match of No People Gate from World Wonder Ring Stardom (Stardom) from an empty Korakuen Hall on March 8, 2020, saw an outstanding match between Tokyo Cyber Squad members Hana Kimura/Jungle Kyona against Donna del Mondo (Women of the World) members Giulia/Maika.
Despite some Stardom fans feeling both Hana and Giulia need to improve a great deal, their performance in this match was high caliber. Jungle Kyona and Maika held up their end of the bargain as well, showing the quality depth within Stardom’s roster. Tokyo Cyber Squad would take the victory, in what was a match fans of any wrestling style should find enjoyable.
No People Gate Analysis, Co-Headline Matches
The second co-headline saw Oedo Tai members Bea Priestley/Jamie Hayter defend their Goddesses of Stardom Championship against Queen’s Quest members Momo Watanabe/Utami Hayashishita. Watanabe and Hayashishita also wanted revenge against Priestley for turning her back on Queen’s Quest.
Priestley and Hayter are a capable tag team and have no problem drawing heat, while Watanabe and Hayashishita seem comfortable playing off their opponents. The match was 13 minutes and 45 seconds and could have been a classic twenty-minute match, but the end result was an effective match that served its purpose.
After the match, Saya Kamitani got into the ring and challenged Priestley and Hayter to face herself and Watanabe for the titles. After mocking them, Priestley and Hayter agreed to the match.
