Backstage Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak are pleased with their win and start doing breathing exercises before Sami Zayn interrupts them. Sami yells at them for their mediocre victories, says all Gulak is teaching him is how to squeak by. Again calls Drew a nobody and he’s not happy with that, Cesaro and Shinsuke protect him and Sami calls himself untouchable. Bryan laughs at this, says he’s barely Intercontinental Champion. Bryan wants an IC title match. Sami says he’ll get it, if Drew Gulak can beat Shinsuke Nakamura next week! Then, Cole introduces Paige, speaking via satellite on the tron but Bayley’s theme hits and she interrupts. Bayley is not happy with this, saying she no-shows last week and now this?
Paige recounts Bayley’s talking about how the Women’s Evolution is over and Bayley much agrees. Paige says she thinks nobody past, present or future can stop her. But she should know that it takes more than this to make change in the world. Bayley says if she has a problem with that, she should do something about it! But wait, she can’t! They laugh over Paige’s untimely retirement.
Paige says she’s not living in the past, asked Fox to be able to make the announcement for her SmackDown Women’s title defense at WrestleMania.
Bayley says “Sorry, Fox is wrong” because she’s had such a great year she’s planning to skip WrestleMania and go straight to the Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame Ceremony has actually been cancelled though I’m assuming the inductions will still be represented in some capacity over the two-day Mania weekend… anyway. Anyway Paige corrects her, says she’ll definitely be defending against Lacey Evans. Bayley laughs, says she’s beaten her already. Paige says she’s not even close to finished. She will also defend against Dana Brooke. This gets more guffaws, justifiably. Bayley says “Who else, Tamina? Does she even work here?” and amazingly, it turns out that Tamina is in fact also part of this match.
She keeps going. Naomi is also challenging Bayley in this match. Sasha Banks takes offense, calls Paige a bitch. In response, she says she’s glad she finally spoke up because she’s the sixth and final participant of this match. So yep, as rumored, Bayley defends her title in a six pack challenge. I’m not sure anyone predicted Tamina would be involved but there you go. I know that Alexa and Nikki are feuding with the Kabuki Warriors, so they aren’t involved. Kinda curious that Carmella isn’t among the list though, perhaps she opted to sit out. That’s just a presumption but nobody could be blamed for that.
The aforementioned Cena/Bray WM 30 match follows, to be shown in it’s entirety judging by the last couple of shows.
