There are few women’s wrestlers in WWE more tenured than Natalya. Having been with the company since 2008, she has been a champion in the past and knows how to go the distance. Despite her long tenure with WWE, she has never competed in the daunting structure. With years of wear and tear on her body, who knows how long she will have in the ring, meaning this could be a final chance for her.
Natalya Has Never Had A Singles Match At Wrestlemania
It might come as a shock, but in her 12 years with WWE we have never seen Natalya get a one on one match at the biggest show of the year. She has competed in Battle Royales, Six Pack Challenges and even for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, but never in a singles match. Winning the Elimination Chamber would get her this landmark moment, and it would be against one of her rivals in the process.
A Tiebreaker With Becky Lynch
Since 2016, we have seen 8 one on one matches between Becky Lynch & Natalya, and each woman has beaten the other 4 times. This would be an excellent story to be told on the way to Wrestlemania. It shows just how evenly matched the two have been, and would give another technical marvel like their highly regarded Submission Match from Summerslam 2019. While Becky Lynch vs. Natalya would hardly be a fresh match for WWE, their history can be used to build a story to make up for the lack of a fresh matchup. It would also be a safe bet for a fantastic encounter.
Veteran Experience Could Carry Her To Victory
While this will be her first time in the Elimination Chamber, Natalya is the ring general of the division. This heightened level of ring awareness will help keep her steady and safe in the dangerous match. Combine her years of experience with her training in the brutal Hart Family Dungeon, and she will have a good chance at being able to control the match in her favor leading to a huge victory with the fabled Hart Family Sharpshooter.
