Another episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown comes to us tonight. My name is Jordan Huie of the Overtimer and it’s been a draining few weeks. The major promotions are still plugging away trying to make shows happen though and as long as they are, you’ll still be seeing previews and recaps of whatever goes down here tonight. Just the one article this time but it’s happening nonetheless!
Roman Reigns and Bill Goldberg Contract Signing
Ahead of their scheduled WWE Universal Championship match at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns and Bill Goldberg will soon be signing the contract. As always, this can not be expected to go amicably. The question is, will somebody get speared? And if so, who? I can only imagine this won’t be much like the Undertaker/AJ Styles contract signing from Monday, though.
WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz face Heavy Machinery in a non-title match
The only advertised match for the evening will see Miz & Morrison facing off with Heavy Machinery, though their titles will not be on the line. Heavy Machinery currently seem to be the most popular tag team in WWE but the plans don’t necessarily seem for them to be part of the tag division anytime soon. Although that could change… everything’s in flux right now. It wouldn’t actually be peculiar for them to win this match and have the tag title match become a multi-team bout where Otis can theoretically pin Ziggler to become champion… that would’ve been great under normal circumstances, but it’d be a bit of a waste to have Heavy Machinery win the gold when there’s no huge pop to accompany it. I’ll say Miz & Morrison over.
Rob Gronkowski To Appear
In just a couple of week’s time, former NFL legend Rob Gronkowski will be hosting WrestleMania. Ahead of that, he’ll be making his first advertised appearance here this evening, where he’ll perhaps address his plans with WWE going forward. Might also meet up with Mojo Rawley who seems to have just kinda suddenly turned face again by proxy.
Paige To Make An Appearance
According to her twitter page, this time around Paige has made it. She was scheduled to be here last week but for obvious reasons traveling overseas wasn’t easy, and she ended up not being able to make the show. But this time whatever segment was planned with her and Bayley should be happening.
