In WWE, there are many factors that can make someone a star. You can have the look, you can be a wrestling genius, or you can have more charisma than The Rock. None of that can matter sometimes. There is only one that actually matters, and that is if Vince McMahon sees you as a star. The mastermind of WWE has killed more stars than he has built, and fans simply have to sit and watch. The latest victim was Ricochet, and we might see the next one soon. This is the two-time NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler.
Shayna Baszler Isn’t Getting The Desired Reactions
While her shocking debut when she would draw the blood of Becky Lynch with a bite got a great reaction, she has not been able to get that since that moment. Her match with Kairi Sane didn’t exactly help her out much, despite them having incredible chemistry. While some fans enjoyed the match, Vince McMahon reportedly was not a fan. He felt it didn’t simply make Shayna feel like the Wrestlemania headliner he needs her to be.
Elimination Chamber Will Be Make Or Break For Shayna
Despite the seeds already being planted for the match with Becky Lynch, we could still see someone else leave Elimination Chamber as her challenger. The original plan for the Royal Rumble was for Shayna Baszler to win, but Vince would change his mind at the last minute and instead Charlotte Flair won. While Shayna looks like the clear winner in the 6 woman field, anything can happen, and not for the right reasons.
Should WWE Go All In On The Vampire Illusion?
Considering her bloody debut got a great and widespread attention, that very well could be the trick to making Shayna feel like a star. While she was a star in NXT with her MMA style, but that is too boring and bland for the casual fans watching RAW & Smackdown. If you are able to get people talking and liking Shayna. It could be the only way to get these reactions which Vince is wanting.
Right now, things are looking bleak for the future of Shayna on the WWE main roster. She could be the next NXT alumni to be dead upon arrival for WWE, and considering her years of dominance and being built up as a star? This one would hurt.
