Here we are, ready to say goodbye to another week but this one stings a bit here at CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers. We’ve really enjoyed watching Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) in some of her most epic episodes. As far as theme weeks go, Katherine the Great was well, great.

Perfect closure
What better way to end a week of Katherine’s greatest moments with her wedding to Patrick Murphy (Michael Fairman)? Seeing her go out on top of everything is the perfect ending to the theme, but the fact she did so while Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) tried her best to upset the apple cart.
Speaking of Jill, it’s worth noting she arrived at the wedding drunk as a skunk, which prompted Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) to tie her up with a ribbon and lock her in the closet. Everything would’ve been fine and dandy, but Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bergman) happened by and heard Jill and let her go.
Of course, Jill tried to intervene in the wedding, but was intercepted long enough for Katherine and Patrick to tie the knot. With Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as best man and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) as the maid of honor, things went according to plan and the end was near.
Jill tried to strike again, but Katherine was above her and didn’t let her hostility knock her off her pedestal.
While this feels like the perfect way to close the week out, there are plenty of fans with different opinions and that’s what makes this awesome. There really is no way to pick the absolute best of Katherine because she had so many awesome moments. It’s subjective, but it’s been a great experience and worthy of the Katherine the Great theme.
What’s next?
We won’t know for another day or so what the plans are for next week, but to be fair, we’re hoping this was the first step into something far more
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers continues to have hope that our voices will be heard and they’ll bring back the older episodes and play them before or after the new ones, or create another soap opera network and air all of our favorites from the earliest days to the new. It’d be a great way for new fans to watch our favorite characters begin and grow, as well as allow older fan the chance to relive some of their favorite moments from bygone years.
There’ll be plenty of griping from the networks, that much is certain, but it’s a win-win for fans and the shows as they’ll gain more viewers and probably increase their income. Let’s get it done.
