WWE Monday Night Raw rolls on. Becky Lynch makes her way out and talks about defeating Shayna Baszler. Mentions how she said this would be a test of heart and skill but the truth was it was a test of mind. Says maybe she’s arrogant or perhaps she just let you think that. Perhaps this year long title run has gotten to her head or maybe she just used it to get inside Shayna’s. Says the only thing that could defeat the Queen of Spades was the Joker and somebody born to bully would never beat someone born to survive. Moves on to talk about the Money In The Bank match and how whoever wins it will probably be going after her. Goes ahead and says that she’ll be glad to take on the winner and shock the world once again.
Backstage, Andrade and Zelina Vega are being interviewed. Zelina says WrestleMania was one great night for Drew but Andrade has been defending his US title month after month to the best WWE could throw at him. The last time Drew held a title, it wasn’t long before Andrade took it from him. Andrade says it took so long for Drew to win the WWE Championship but he won’t have very long to hold it.
Sarah Logan is out now to face off with Shayna Baszler. Before the match, interestingly, Shayna is asked about some of the derogatory comments from Ronda Rousey. Shayna just stares the interviewer down and storms down the ramp.
Shayna Baszler vs. Sarah Logan (Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match)
Logan comes in with a swift shot and Baszler responds with a meaty forearm. Takes her to the mat and rains down some hammerfists. The referee has to pull Shayna off of her. Baszler with a vicious stomp to the elbow and Sarah is crying in pain. Ref asks if she can continue and she says no, so they ring the bell.
Winner: Sarah Logan? By… DQ?
S-Seriously? She was announced as the winner, but that seems like that was just a botch. Commentary has to tackle this like there was ever any reason for him to say it like that but they clarify that Logan couldn’t continue after that stomp and so the decision would go to Baszler who will thus advance to the MITB match. Meanwhile Logan is being helped from the ring and crying.
In some weird looking part of backstage, Seth Rollins stoically claims that after losing to Kevin Owens, once again his career has been crucified. That’s… all he said, before it faded to commercial.
